Honest Grapes - Email

Brief: Create a series of weekly emails encouraging the Honest Grapes email list to buy more wine more often.

Subject: A 92-point wine. £10.

Dear Firstname,

I know it might seem outlandish, but as things stand we’re offering this 91-92-point wine for just £10 a bottle.

How? Well, I’ll explain.

The wine in question – Château Teyssier Bordeaux 2015; this week’s wine of the week – is currently aging in its barrel. It’s not yet ready for drinking, which means you can source it early at a truly remarkable price.

“A balanced and pretty red with walnut and berry aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. 91-92 points” James Suckling

When the wine is eventually bottled, you can either sell it on (should the true market price prove too tempting) or have it delivered to your door for consumption (you’ll need to pay VAT if the latter, but only on today’s price).

And it’s more or less that simple - you get outstanding wine for just £10 a bottle. That’s how wine investors do it, and, as part of our club, you can too! For more information just go here now. Please note, though, winemaker Jonathan Maltus has granted us a limited allocation at this stage (including these magnums) so those interested are advised to act swiftly.

“Fresh, floral and perfumed... Lovely, refined, velvety texture and carefully matted tannins. Freshness and persistence on the finish.” Le Dome

Château Teyssier’s Bordeaux 2015 is actually part of our wider Bordeaux 2015 En Primeur offer. We’ll be releasing more deals like this over the next few months, such as Château Haut Brisson’s upcoming 2015 vintage.

To stay in the loop you’ll need to register your interest here.

Happy drinking,

Nathan

PS: So long as you act quickly, you can also order a case of six Château Teyssier magnums.

Subject: "I'll ask Chris!" I thought

Hi Firstname,

As England are gearing up to take on France in the Six Nations this Saturday, Honest Grapes have been having an England vs France battle of our own.

Naturally, ours is wine related… and we could really do with your help deciding the outcome.

Taking part is simple enough. All you need to do is have a look through the notes on the two Pinot Noirs below - one English, one French - then vote for whichever you think sounds most appealing.

Of course, if you fancy celebrating England’s Six Nations victory with a glass or two then go ahead and order a case. I can assure you, after tasting both recently, each is a delight.

So cast your vote (and find out more about the wines) now - I’ll send you round the results next week.

Happy drinking,

Nathan

PS: As always, I’m so confident in these Pinot Noirs that I’ll refund anything you don’t like in full - guaranteed.

Subject: Imagine opening THIS on Christmas Day

Dear Firstname,

Imagine yourself waking on Christmas Day this year, geared up to celebrate the holidays with family.

Waiting for you as you rise is our new, All You Need at Christmas case; six extra-special wines to see you right through the day (details here).

Armed with the case, you pop open, pour and hand out the Premier Cru Champagne, which has been patiently chilled in the fridge overnight.

Then, after some Christmas TV and one or two presents, you move on to your whites – one rich and one crisp – perhaps pairing them with smoked salmon or fish for a match made in heaven.

As you sit down to your Turkey dinner, it’s the turn of the reds to take centre stage. The red Burgundy, in particular, pairs deliciously with a roast.

Finally, with the evening drawing to a close alongside a game of charades, you uncork a sweet Recioto, which pairs equally well with both cheeses and chocolates.

If that sounds like the kind of Christmas you’re after, with all the wines you need no matter what the occasion, then you’ll probably be interested in our new Christmas Day case. Full details are here so please take a quick look.

Now, if you’re yet to complete (or even start!) your Christmas shopping, here are two things that might make your life easier.

The first, our new Big Reds case, is a perfect gift for connoisseurs of red wine.

And the second – which we’ve labelled Red, White and Fizz – is a three bottle introduction to quality, artisan wines for just £29.

Both can be delivered gift wrapped so order them now and cross two presents off the list.

Happy drinking,

Nathan

PS: As always, we’re so confident in the quality of our wines that we refund anything you don’t like in full, guaranteed, even when bought as part of a case.
